With a unique space for up to 100 people, plus access to your own bar and movie theatre, the Bass and Flinders Maritime Museum is the perfect place for your next function, meeting, conference, wedding, launch, trade show, 60th birthday, or networking event.

Please note, that all venue books for presentations require the whole venue to be booked for a minimum of two hours.

We offer a fully integrated surround sound cinematic experience, shown on the big (really, really big) screen. With a movie license for the latest releases, we can source the film you want to watch. Book the big screen for your next group get-together.

A lectern, microphone, and seating for presentations, speeches, and award ceremonies are available upon request.

FEES AND CHARGES

The following charge groups are in place to support our local community and not-for-profit groups, organizations, and businesses. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can best ensure your event is a success.

Included in each booking fee:

  • A Bass and Flinders host to assist with the running of your event.
  • Set up and pack away of chairs, tables and stage
  • Cleaning and rubbish removal
  • Audio, movie or theatrette set up

NON - COMMERCIAL (community groups, Not For Profits)

$60 per hour

  • Includes access to use of audio, lectern, microphone, projector, stage, tables and chairs, and complimentary tea and coffee

$320 per day

  • Includes access to use of audio, lectern, microphone, projector, stage, tables and chairs, and complimentary tea and coffee

COMMERCIAL

$100 per hour

  • Includes access to use of audio, lectern, microphone, projector, stage, tables and chairs, and complimentary tea and coffee

$590 per day

  • Includes access to use of audio, lectern, microphone, projector, stage, tables and chairs, and complimentary tea and coffee

Conditions of Hourly Hire

  • Minimum two-hour booking
  • AM booking - 8:30 am to 10:30 am
  • PM booking - 5:00 pm to midnight
  • Booked a minimum of seven days in advance

Conditions of Full-Day Hire

  • Available during OFF Peak season only (May 31 to August 31)
  • Not available during School Holidays
  • Not available on Public Holidays
  • The booking period is 9 am - 5 pm
  • Booked a minimum of seven days in advance

Ineligible events include

  1. Birthday parties for ages under 25
